Micheál O’Connor is Group Managing Director of Dornan Engineering. He is a business leader, Chartered Quantity Surveyor by profession, former President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland and has over 30 years’ experience with some of Ireland’s largest construction and engineering companies.
Micheál started his career as a Senior Quantity Surveyor at John Sisk & Son Ltd. – Ireland’s largest contractor and building company, where he worked for eleven years – from 1992 to 2003. During this time, he gained extensive experience in the Education and Pharmaceutical sectors.
Micheál was Associate Director Commercial and Chief Quantity Surveyor, McInerney for eight years, from 2003 to 2011, Ireland’s largest house builder and the second largest construction company in Ireland at that time; at peak constructing in excess of 1,200 residential units per annum.
Prior to joining Dornan Engineering, Micheál spent eight years with Jacobs Engineering in Ireland where he held the following roles: Senior Commercial Manager, 2011 to 2015. Project Services Manager, 2016 to 2017. Vice President and General Manager, Ireland, UK and Northern Europe, 2017 to 2020.
