Dr Mary Moloney

Dr. Mary Moloney, Lecturer, Researcher and Work Placement Co-ordinator in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at Munster Technological University, Cork. Mary is the programme co-ordinator for the BEng in Civil Engineering by apprenticeship at MTU. Mary also lecturers at the Cork Centre for Architectural Education.

Mary is a Fellow of Engineers Ireland and Fellow of the Irish Academy of Engineering. Mary graduated with her PhD from UCC, she also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and a certificate in Health and Safety from UCD.

Prior to commencing her academic career, Mary held many positions in industry as: a Structural Designer; Construction Manager; Senior Projects Engineer; and Procurement Team Leader with Pfizer.

Mary’s research interests include: engineering education; work based learning; the use of digital media in engineering eduction; promotion of females in STEM; sustainable infrastructure development and delivery; housing delivery and urban regeneration; and project management and delivery.
